Photos from the last decade that made me :)

Here’s a post I’ve wanted to do for a while. Since the start of 2020, really. It’s been months, and I never really got round to it…mostly because I am not organized enough with my pictures. However, that being said, the first thing you should know about me is I’m a very sentimental person-I keep EVERYTHING. And what I can’t store, I take pictures of, so honestly, looking through old photos is a mammoth task.

I finally made some time and sat down to get it done. So without rambling on too much, here are some pictures from my camera roll from the past decade. These are pictures that made me smile when I clicked/got sent them. Because I’m looking back at ten years, a LOT has changed. Many of these need a NA next to them, if I were to think about them today, however, that is not what this post is about. It’s just having some fun, looking back at old pictures that put a smile on my face and meant something to me at the time and having them all in one place now to look back at memories that made me smile.

A few things to keep in mind as you scroll through these:

I have purposely left out all kinds of captions. Tempting though it was to caption these , I have deliberately chosen not to; instead,I’m going to let the pictures do the talking.

The past decade has, of course, been made up of a lot of good stuff. One thing that stands out more than any other are the incredible people I have met along the way. For this post, though, I have decided to allow pictures of places, holidays, and seemingly random objects to allow me to associate with all these amazing people, in other words, allowing a picture to represent so much more than its face value. I have tried to leave other people out of this post, and instead and instead mark our fun memories together using photographs of inside jokes, places we visited, etc.

It is for this reason that this might appear like the most random collection of pictures ever, most may not even make any sense, but to be honest, this post is a little selfish-it’s mostly for me, and a little for you, if you’d like to see SOME REALLY EMBARRASSING PICTURES OF ME.

Ironically most of these are pictures I never deemed ‘good’ enough to post on any social media platform. However, I care a lot less now than I did at the start of the decade, and the truth is, the more authentic the moment I seek to depict, the less photogenic I apparently appear to be.

So here it is, the-post-you-should-probably-skip-over-because-it-wont-make-much-sense. However, if you are a little nosy to look at some embarrassing pictures of me, here they are,in no particular order! And hey, if this inspires you to look at some old pictures of your own, I highly recommend you do. It’s a fun, albeit slightly cringe exercise, but it really does guarantee a chuckle.
